The Swallowtail Festival - Lunch

At lunchtime, the people once again begin to stream back into the square before the cathedral. Delightful smells are wafting through the air and Father Zantus is directing a pair of young men who are wheeling a cart to just in front of the podium. Tables and benches are being set out and the smells are emanating from a series of booths, manned by the various tavern owners.

It looks like we’ll be heading into the town of Sandpoint in a day and a half for the Swallowtail festival, and let me tell you this dwarf is looking forward to it. It’s been nearly a month since we’ve seen any real civilization, and while that keeps Sy happy enough, I’m ready for something other than burnt venison to fill my stomach.
