Races

In order to eliminate the notion of ECL, the following changes are being made to the races in the PHB (This is only a list of changes; all other racial traits from the PHB still apply):

Dwarves: +2 CON, +2 WIS, -2 CHA; +2 Perception; Dwarves are automatically proficient with Hammers, Axes, and Picks and treat any weapon with the word “Dwarven” in its name as a martial weapon; Favored class is either Cleric or Fighter.

Elves: +2 DEX, +2 INT, -2 CON; +2 Perception; Elves treat any weapon with the word “Elven” in its name as a martial weapon; Favored class is either Ranger or Wizard.

Gnomes: +2 CON, +2 CHA, -2 STR; +2 Perception; +2 to one Craft/Profession skill of their choice; Gnomes treat any weapon with the word “Gnome” in its name as a martial weapon; Favored class is either Bard or Sorcerer.

Half-Elves: +2 to any one score; +2 Perception; Receive Skill Focus as a free feat at first level (any skill); half-elves treat any one weapon with the word “Elven” in its name as a martial weapon.

Half-Orcs: +2 STR, +2 WIS, -2 INT; Half-Orcs treat any one weapon with the word “Orc” in its name as a martial weapon; Favored class is either Barbarian or Cleric.

Halflings: +2 DEX, +2 CHA, -2 STR; +2 Perception; +2 Acrobatics & Climb; Halflings are proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word “Halfling” in its name as a martial weapon; Favored class is either bard or rogue.

Humans: +2 to one ability score; Humans are proficient with one weapon of their choice, in addition to class proficiencies.
